About
Meet L’Michelle
L’Michelle‘s love for books began in her childhood home. Her parents’ vicarious readers often found her under a dogwood tree in the yard, reading or writing in her journal. She began writing book reviews for a community newspaper, hoping to encourage people to read emerging authors. While completing an MBA, she began sketching an idea for a novel and started working on her first contemporary fiction book. Currently, she is working with an editor revising the manuscript for her upcoming novel.
A close friend regularly encourages her to write short stories when L’Michelle needs a break from work on her novel. In this medium, L’Michelle balances her concern for the voiceless and love for nature to spotlight the human condition.
She holds degrees in Education, a Leadership Certificate, and an MBA in Strategic Organizational Management. A former Wall Street and Media Communications professional, corporate trainer and educator, L’Michelle has taken her professional expertise to create a platform of advocacy for domestic violence, and brings attention to the indigenous woman’s plight with her writing. L’Michelle works with young people tutoring and encouraging them to improve their reading and writing skills.
When she is not reading, writing or creating story trailers, L’ Michelle loves to cook and try new recipes, wines, and watch movies. She loves nature and takes daily uninterrupted long walks to reconnect and meditate. Her deep abiding relationship with God and faith keep her inspired to do more.
